ILoveZip.online · SERVICE INFORMATION

Terms and conditions

These terms describe use of ILoveZip.online and its browser-based ZIP extractor. Use the service only when you are permitted to access and extract the archive contents. The tool is provided for ordinary file handling within its stated technical limits. Effective September 8, 2026.

Scope of the service

ILoveZip.online lets users choose a ZIP, browse its directory, select entries, and extract supported contents locally in the browser. It does not provide archive storage, account services, password recovery, document conversion, or a remote extraction API. Informational guides explain common workflows but do not expand the tool’s supported capabilities.

The service is designed for interactive use with one archive at a time. We may change its interface or implementation to address compatibility, performance, maintenance, and security needs. There is no promise that every current feature, browser behavior, or limit will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Your responsibility for archive contents

You are responsible for having the right to access, decrypt, copy, and use files you extract. A file being available to download does not establish permission to redistribute or modify it. Respect copyright, confidentiality, privacy, contractual obligations, and other requirements applicable to the material. Do not use the tool to handle unlawful content or evade access restrictions.

The service does not inspect files to determine ownership or legal status. You should not provide someone else’s password-protected material unless you are authorized to open it. If an archive contains information subject to workplace or institutional controls, follow those controls when choosing the device, browser, and output destination.

Acceptable use and prohibited abuse

Do not intentionally interfere with the website, exploit vulnerabilities, overload infrastructure, attempt unauthorized access, or use the service to distribute malicious files. Do not misrepresent the site’s identity or use its branding to imply an endorsement that has not been given. Ordinary browsing and local extraction are the intended uses.

Archive safety checks are not an invitation to probe production users or bypass resource limits. If you discover a reproducible security problem, report it with non-sensitive details through the contact address. Do not send private archives or credentials as part of an initial report. The service does not provide a public automated extraction endpoint for bulk workloads.

File size and processing limits

The maximum input archive size is 50 MB, defined as 50 × 1024 × 1024 bytes. Additional safeguards include a 500 MB expanded-content limit, a maximum of 10,000 entries, and a maximum compression ratio of 100:1 per entry. The tool may reject unsafe paths, conflicting names, unsupported formats, or malformed archives before extraction.

These limits are ceilings, not guarantees that every device can process every archive below them. Available browser memory, operating-system restrictions, storage availability, and archive complexity can cause earlier failures. A legitimate archive may exceed a defensive limit. Use an appropriate local utility when your task requires larger or specialized archive handling.

Passwords and encryption

You must provide the correct password for supported encrypted ZIP entries. The tool does not recover forgotten passwords or promise support for every encryption extension. Archives using different passwords for different files may not fit the single-password workflow. If unlocking fails, confirm the password and format with the archive’s owner.

Extracted files generally no longer carry the ZIP’s encryption layer. You are responsible for protecting them in the destination you choose. A document may have independent protection of its own, but the service does not certify that protection or add new encryption to downloaded output.

Browser compatibility and filesystem behavior

Direct folder saving depends on browser support for a directory picker and permission to write to the chosen destination. Where unavailable, the tool offers individual downloads. It does not promise that separate downloads recreate the original directory tree. Browser settings may affect download names, destinations, permission prompts, and access to files provided by cloud storage applications.

Directory extraction preserves supported paths and empty folders, but it is not a complete filesystem restoration service. Do not rely on it to recreate executable permissions, symbolic links, application bundles, or every platform-specific metadata attribute. Interrupted operations may leave partial output, and cancelling does not guarantee removal of files already written.

Backups and verification

Keep your original archive and appropriate backups until you have checked the extracted result. Confirm that the expected files, names, and folders are present before relying on the output. A selected subset may omit dependencies needed by a project or document collection even when each selected file extracted correctly.

Do not interpret completion as a guarantee that the contents are harmless, accurate, or fit for your intended use. The service is not an antivirus scanner. Apply appropriate security checks before opening unknown documents or executing applications and scripts. You remain responsible for the effects of using the extracted material.

Availability, warranty, and liability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, compatibility with every archive, or a particular extraction speed. Network delivery, browser changes, maintenance, device limits, and external service conditions can affect availability. General guidance may become outdated as platforms change.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and liability for losses arising from its use is limited as permitted by law. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Users should not rely on this tool as their only safeguard against data loss.

Intellectual property and external references

The site’s original branding, interface, and written content belong to their respective rights holders. Third-party software and icon or font assets remain subject to their applicable licenses. Using the service does not transfer ownership of those materials. Your own archive contents remain yours or their original owner’s; local extraction does not grant the service ownership of them.

Links to technical documentation and platform guidance are provided for convenience. Those resources are maintained independently and may change. Their presence does not imply affiliation or endorsement. Evaluate external information in its own context and follow the terms of any service you separately choose to use.

Changes and questions

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service or its operation. The effective date identifies the published version. If a change is material to your use, review the updated text before continuing. The privacy policy and disclaimer provide related information about data handling and practical limitations.

Questions or reports can be sent to contact@ilovezip.online. Include enough non-sensitive detail to explain the issue, and keep archive passwords and confidential files out of routine correspondence.
